An importing partner needs to know three things before signing: what will be available, when, and to what quality. Our supply chain is built to answer all three before the goods leave the field.
Step 1 — Crop plan
The crop calendar for each item is agreed in advance, giving the buyer a basis for scheduling intake and giving us a basis for arranging harvest. This is why we publish the seasonal supply plan on the home page.
Step 2 — Order and specification
Packing specification is agreed with the customer for each order: carton type, net weight, stacking pattern, lot marking and any requirement specific to the destination market. The specification is fixed before picking, not after.
Step 3 — Harvest and handling to order
Picking ripeness is set against the specific order, because the same item shipped to two markets may need two different stages.
Step 4 — Transport
Fresh produce travels in reefer containers with the temperature set by item; high-value or short-shelf-life items may travel by air. We work on commonly used trade terms and agree the port of delivery with the customer at quotation stage.
Step 5 — Documentation
Each consignment ships with a record set covering growing area, harvest date, quality check results and the packing specification actually used.
